Elk is a plugin used to generate topographies and street maps using data from OpenStreetMap.org and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data from NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Make sure you've downloaded the latest version (uploaded yesterday). The initial release from last November only had 6 components because the seventh (SRTM Topo) wasn't working correctly.
I originally made this for a specific project without any thoughts to releasing it, and for that particular project it made more sense to specify the size that I wanted since I was fitting it onto a sheet of glass. It was just easier to input the size I wanted than to determine what the scaling factor needed to be.

Great Plug-in!
The Scale factor would be more useful to me if you could scale by 0.001 rather than working out the size to fit into. Or am I missing the point
