trim surface with curves

Hi!
I have a setup here which works,

but im thinking there must be a more elegant solution to do the trimming,

than having to make a solid out of the trimming curves.

    Hi Markus, please send the rh and gh-files. 

    When looking at the jpg it seems your solution is quite good, but I have to see the files to be sure..
