Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I'm new to Karamba and went through the manual and discussions. Still, I'm unable to optimise cross sections of beams in a structure. I've managed to minimise the '59 cross sections need to be bigger than their biggest family member'; and tried to customise beam structures, try different combinations, however to no avail. Please help!

Also, do I  need to assemble the beam first (with loads and support) and then send it to whole model assembly or only feed it as cross section to analyse and optimise as a whole?from%20scratch%202.5%20x.gh

I've attached the gh.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Anubhavi,

did you take a look at the examples which come with Karamba3D? If you double-click on the Karamba3D desktop icon the installation folder opens. Under 'Examples\TestExamples\Optimize_Cross_Section' there are several examples which show how to apply the cross section optimizer.

Best,

Clemens
