Trim Surface with Curves (a bunch of them, little circles)

I have a question about methods.

Im attempting to cut perforation patterns into surfaces, This is painfully slow using the split surface command as there are many circles to cutout. I have tried dividing the total # of circles up into 1/4 or 1/5 of the list size and attempting it that way but it still takes extremely long to execute. Even opening the GH file while the split surface command is active is nearly impossible.

Does anyone have any tips or know of other commands that could speed this up?

-Thank you.

A 'Boundary' surface component with a flat list of one outer boundary curve and multiple inner boundary curves works well:

Hello Daniel,

you can also try trim solid component using capped cylinders. Works in all cases, planar/non planar surfaces and also if you have segments of the circles that are outside the main surfaces boundary (if that's the case).

Not quick as Josephs suggestion but responsive compared to split surface.
