algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey,

Why does the sweep not work in every rail?

Startingpoint is everywhere the same, loftingdirection is the same, curve direction is everywhere the same!

Thanks for help!

Try this...

I have only one rail and I do not want to split it, because I want to keep the miter joint

:-(

Hi Dedackelzucht, could you upload your definition (chengeaxis?), and indicate what you are attempting to do (maybe a 3dm). I'd be willing to give it a try.

its a definition by TheChosenOne

I just want to sweep a Profile around a rectengulars/planar/closed/curve

It works sometime, sometimes not. I do not understand why. How can the angle or the form of the rectengular/planar/closed/curve be the reason?

I meant your definition, not just the component;) Save me some work...

Maybe a bit premature, but it might help to put your section curve right on the startpoint of your rail, if that isn't the case...

oh sorry... here you go!

section is rigth at the starting point. I checked that already (I read about that in older entries)

NP:)

Hi Dedackelzucht, I got sth that works. You'll have to correct the deforming of the profile yourself (I scaled in 1 dir (I did this to avoid the offset), so the thinkness of the inside of the profile is scaled too), but I think you'll get the idea.

haha, now its a mix! the 45º was a good idea! I had in mind, but i thought it would make it more complicated! That thought was wrong!

Thanks for helping! Always a pleasure!
