algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello community,
I came across this interesting case. I use the sweep2 component to create a surface using two rail curves and a bunch of section curves.
What i want to do is to be able to manipulate each of the surfaces created by the every two curves so i can do the divide domain- isotrim combo to create my "panels" on each subsurface.
Fascinating is that the deconstruct brep does not give me back these surfaces although I can explode the sweeped surface if i bake it in rhino and get them.
I tried using the split surface with curves command to get these subsurfaces but the results come back as trimmed surfaces which is something that I want to avoid since they carry information of the "mother" surface and I can not control the panel subdivision.
Any ideas?
Thank you all,
Georios

I actually came across this post: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/the-new-sweep2-has-a-bug
which actually has a piece of text that David supplied so you can use the old sweep component. With that component used you can use the deconstruct brep and get the resulting surfaces. Win!
