algorithmic modeling for Rhino

on the top you see a flat piece of paper which than will be cut on the edges and folded/bended into form to achieve a 3dimensional construct.

i used the catenary component in GH to get the curve into 3d Space to keep the length of the edgecrvs fixed.

now im trying to create the srf from these crvs.. they should have the same area than the flat srf (both green in the picture)

is there anyway to achieve that?

thanks in advance

I think the only way (without use kangaroo and galapagos) to maintain the same area is doing the reverse process, create the surface in 3d and then unroll to 2d. But I'm not sure.

the thing is that im trying to remodel an analog model which is already folded in a 3d way - so i have the paper where i know the exact area and length,.. but i have only a analog model of the 3d model.. i wouldn't minde using kangaroo or whatever as long as i get closer to what i need,...
