You can create a lot of points on the surface and use gradient component and custom preview to color the points. A "per position" color information can only be used with meshes.

I tried this but I dont see any colors !!!. From what you understand I have no idea of what to input where !!! Sorry to bother you again

Gradient just calculates the color. You need the custom preview to see anything.
