Split Surface with Curves - problem with edge distortion

After splitting a surface, the edges are distorted. See the after splitting surface (JPG file - left image). The vertical edges aren't as sharp (dark rounded corners) as the vertical edges on the surface before splitting (JPG file - image to right). The problem area components are grouped in color green in the attached Grasshopper file. Thanks in advance for any relevant suggestions.

I would strongly suggest to use trim (against solid cutters) in occasions like this.

Peter, this is a much better outcome - your recommendation is very helpful. BTW: I thought I'd put coding behind me many years ago, but now I'm finding a renewed interest because of people like you. Thanks again for your response and the C# component.
