algorithmic modeling for Rhino

split list problem

hello -

i tried to split a list at its maximum by sorting/finding index (see image).

however, i don't get the index because the maximum item is not found though appearing in the list.

what's wrong?

You could use the Find Similar Member component for this as well. I think it might be easier.

Actually, it's better if your 'ridiculously large number' is only marginally larger than the largest possible value. Subtraction of two floating point numbers in wildly different powers of ten is a notoriously inaccurate operation in computing.
