Split into two branches at index n ?

Hi Guys,

 

How could I split a flattened list into two branches at a given index?

 

The split list gives me an A and B output but I want the result to be just one list.

When I merge these lists it flattens everything again... 

 

Hope this makes sense. Any ideas?
