algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey Everyone,

I am trying to make a space frame composed of rectangular extrusions rather than piping because they look better as an axo. I make a set of space frame curves and swept a specified offset to create the rectangular frames. When I reference the curves they are creating an offset not at the center but at one corner resulting in horrible looking connections. I was hoping for any help in resolving it?

I was thinking perhaps creating a rounded geometry that I can reference at the ends and then to boolean union them together? Help would be greatly appreciated asap as I am on studio deadline!

You have a slider with 0.1 value into the X Size and Y Size inputs of the Rectangle component. If you hover over those inputs, you'll see it is actually creating a domain, 0.0 to 0.1. If instead the domain was -0.05 to 0.05, that would be the center of your rectangle. So...

Tried that but it's still not referencing the same rectangular plane which I think is the main problem. It's still referencing a corner rather than the centre...

You'll have to either internalize the data for the curve component or send along a Rhino model, because in my tests, the above definition works fine.

Yes that was it, thank you very much!
