algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Does anyone know how to make rigid objects in kangaroo?
Hi Dani, almost a complete wild guess but I think the mesh you made from the brep somehow causes the trouble. I created a mesh via the native Mesh Brep component, and think that may help.
If not, I'm just gonna say you didn't discribe the effect you wanted;)
You can try with the mesh I attached.
Pieter thank you very much :)
Today I did another test, changing all parameters, also varying the mesh, but without success. I also think the problem is the mesh because with simpler objects I got zero elasticity.
Now my question is why this happens to adapt the mesh ring if it were possible.
Piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikkkkkkkkkkkkkkkeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr help mee ! haha :P
Hi Daniel,
Here's a version of your file with the settings tweaked to give a fairly rigid behaviour.
Another possible approach could be to create some internal structure within the volume to preserve its shape (at the moment it is only the skin giving it rigidity).
However, for true rigid body behaviour (infinitely stiff objects) you will have to wait for a future version of Kangaroo.
Ok thank you very much for the help daniel!
I had also tried creating internal faces from a central inside curve but without success.
When I get a good approximation of rigidity, it turns out that it does not bounce enough to simulate the effect of the metal would ...
I'll wait for future releases then :)
