Ribbon Lamella Surface

Hi all,  I'm interested in making a ribbon lamella surface with gill-like openings and would appreciate any help setting a definition to do it.  I'm a beginner grasshopper user, inspired to recreate the facade of the Messe Basel New Hall by Herzog & de Meuron as a way to learn more about using grasshopper.
