Hi Alpha222,
I thought it would be best if I reacted on your question about the surfaces in the alacandela video here. Are you saying you liked my vid? If that's case you missed the like-button;)

And no, it weren't the same curves I used for this. I ended up using only the (now) half parabolic curve for midpt of the structure to the top of the arches, and the (straight up) standing parabolic curve itself. Did you google the hyperbolic paraboloid? It will show you how this surface is constructed.

B.t.w. I don't think there is a Networksrf function available right now.

Yes, I like your video and I tried to rebuild it myslef until I came across this problem .But the "like it" buttom respond nothing when I hit it yestoday and today .I will try again later .

 

And thanks for your explanation on how you build your model ,it helps .thanks.

hi Alpha, did you succeed? I just wanted to point at the baked geometries (trimmed) isocurves you can see at the end of the video, they tell the story I think. If you need more directions let me know. (I tend to think that a bit of a struggle will help you more in the long run... or am I wrong in thinking that?)

Network surface is only available in Rhino 5.
