Python script in Grasshopper?

Hello world;-)
I seem to remember an old version of grasshopper supporting Python script. As I am getting into Python scripting and it seems fairly easy/understandable compared to VB and C# (at least to me), I was wondering if Python will be supported in a future Grasshopper release? It is my understanding that Python will be supported in Rhino 5.0, so maybe also in Grasshopper?

Hi Martin,

indeed, there was a brief period when we had Python running inside Grasshopper. However, it didn't play nice with the SDK and it would cause delayed and irregular crashes. IronPython for Rhino 5 is based on the new SDK and so far incompatible with Grasshopper.

Hopefully next week we'll begin the SDK migration process for Grasshopper as well, which will bring IronPython back within reach, but I dare not say how long this will take.
