algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Grasshopper doesn't support pointclouds as a native data type, though you can of course make a whole bunch of points. The question is how you want to map your image onto your points. Is it just a straight position and colour transfer, or is there more involved?
Thanks for the reply!
Potentially quite a bit more involved. I have messed a bit with the Image Sampler function, but that of course is just the straight position mapping through circles with variable radius sized. My original post was in reference to a current project, I am trying to generate a feedback loop in which a model is created, CT scanned (every 1mm) and then fed back into a digital model by generating point clouds based off the scan.
I was hoping to be able to achieve something of this effect with gh (not entirely sure the Image Sampler is the way to go), as it would be easier to generate based on possibly several hundred images. More interested in less complex geometries for possible output/input with coding softwares such as processing and robotic control software.
