algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I'm trying to run the OUT_SET calculation using the Ladybug_PMV Comfort Calculator but I'm getting an error message saying 'The calculation has been terminated by the user!'.

I'm using a weather file from Doha, Qatar with a metabolic rate of 1.4 and clothing index of 0.9. The component works when met is reduced to 1.0 so I assume there's an out of range number being calculated somewhere in the code.

I've updated the component to the 28th February version as referenced in this thread:

Any ideas why the code is rejecting the inputs?

Thanks,

Dan.

I'm using the met/clo values you are saying and had no problem with them.
Maybe the problem is with the weather file? Have you tested a different location (from the E+ official site)?

Yes and that works fine. It looks to be an issue of the combination of high external temperatures and high metabolic rates.

Chris is the one who knows the detailed answer but meanwhile can you please upload the weather file?

Hi Dan,
This definitely smells like a bug. I had a sense that there were still some bugs that I had failed to catch when inputting extreme conditions into the PMV model. As Mostapha says, uploading the weather file and/or your GH file will enable me tonreplicat the bug and, from there, I should be able to fix it (or at least let you know why it is failing).

Hi Chris,

Many thanks for looking into this. The .gh and .epw files should be attached. I've tried to work out where the issue is in the code but unfortunately Python isn't my strong suit!

Thanks,

Dan.

Hi Chris,

Were you able to replicate this issue? Any idea why the error message is occurring?

Many thanks!

Dan.
