algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
I just started playing around with gHowl and it is a great tool! Firstly, I am not very familiar with OSC and have these 2 questions:
1) I am trying to link a processing applet to Grasshopper. In my applet, each created object is responsible for communicating its own information to Grasshopper, e.g. each polygon will send information about its vertices, edges etc.. Having gone through the gHowl examples, it seems like the messages received by the UDP component is in one flat array and the structuring of the data happens after (the provided cloth simulation example) through splitting and string concatenation.
Since my data from processing is already neatly structured, I do not want to send it to gHowl as a flat array and then have to structure that data back into what it was originally. Can I use oscbundles (one per object) in gHowl? How should I approach this?
2) Is there an example showing how the OSC_Channel component works? What is meant by the nickname?
Thanks
