algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hey everybody,
So I saw grasshopper on a classmates laptop and my mind was blown. I downloaded it last night and started playing around trying make a definintion for an architecture project Ive been working on. Wondering if I could get some ideas on how to do this.
So what im trying to achieve is a definition that creates rectangles that are a certain distance away from some lines running through the boundary of where these boxes can be. I also need these rectangles to be relatively equally spaced from one another.
So far I have figured out how to create some distance logic using closest point between a field of cubes on a RecGrid and points generated by dividing the lines.
Going forward I think I'm going to have to use another closest point with orient to get them to line up perpindicular to the line point at the distance I need them to be.
What I'm having a hard time trying to figure out is how will I have grasshopper select a combination of cubes at the pre-defined range that are relatively equally spaced out.
Any ideas?
