algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
During conversion surfaces to mesh some of them are created by many faces (more than 2). I can`t find a sollution how to Quadrangulate them even by changing the properties of quad.
all surfaces after converted to mesh and quadrangulation:
meshes which couldn`t be quadriangulate:
I know that it is possible to do it in Rhino by i.e. "reduce mesh polygon count" but do someone have an idea how to do it in GH? Thanks.

Hi,
if they are surfaces (one untrimmed face per element), you might have a better result if you use the MeshSurface component, instead of the MeshBrep component that is top-left in your definition.
I hope this helps,

Gulio,
Thanks for quick respond.
Mesh Surface component does not solve my problem - I already have surface divided by Surface Split component and now I just want to convert it to mesh for analysis.
Mesh Surface is forcing me to divide it again according to U and V value (or overlaping created meshes).
Even if I will simplify mesh option...
...and than quadrangulate it still have some surfaces which are divided to two meshes (later on for analysis I will get for 1 surface two values insted of one). Why? :O)
I do not think it is possible to tell from these screenshots. It is likely a tree/list management issue. Can you add a simplified definition?
Besides, if MeshSurface is not applicable, then probably a solution that uses partially Grasshopper and partially Rhino 5 commands could also help. "Reduce mesh polygon count" is not available in Grasshopper for now.
Thanks,
- Giulio
