algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all,
I am trying to perform a convergence analysis (on the mesh density) for the computation of a cylindrical shell under self-weight.
As I try to refine the mesh, I get an "Memory allocation error. The equations do not fit into your computer..." Problem is, the matrix I want to solve only occupies 0.2GB when my available memory is 2GB. This corresponds to a model with roughly 15,000 elements, so it's not an insanely large system.
Did anyone encounter the same problem? Do you have any idea on how to fix this issue, and how the memory is allocated by Karamba?
Thanks,
Romain

Dear Romain,
did you check memory usage during the calculation via the task manager? Does the error message show up although the existing memory is not fully used up? Does it help if you increase the size of the virtual memory?
Best,
Clemens
