match polylines to area value

Hi to everybody!

I am trying to do sth rather common, though can' t seem to make it work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a mesh to which I wish to increase the subdivisions IF the polyline area exceeds a certain number(2.007). I culled all polygons' area, but now I cannot match them back to their polyline so as to feed these polylines in a new mesh component. Can you come up with anything?
