large definition

I am working on a heavy definition and it is not possible to open. However I can open it as .txt, so I would like to know if I can select part of the text and open parts of the definition.

How is it not possible to open? Do you get error mesages or is GH just stuck?

You could manually load parts of a GHX but that would require a load of knowledge about how the file format works. You cannot just copy the first part and expect it to work.

You could disable the solver prior to opening the file. Then when the file is read it won't compute but it will display. At this point you can disable all component and then slowly re-enable them section by section until you find the bottleneck.
