Joining two surfaces without seam

Hello,

I have a problem with a very simple geometry. The panel bends in one corner, but I don't want to have the diagonal seam line in the middle (see picture). Joining breps, surfaces... didn't work. Then, I rebuilt the surface with edge curves, but then the panel's main part is not flat anymore. Any ideas? :) Thank you!

Use rhinos -MergeSrf command

Thank you for your reply. I tried this but as they are trimmed surfaces, I got the "Can't merge trimmed edges of surfaces" error.

If they are trimmed then it is not really possible without remaking. I would contour the geometry and reloft.
