Intuitive Sorting of Curves

Hello,

I am trying to create a organised sketching tool for a facade design, however I have troubles finding an intuitive way of having grasshopper differentiate between the sides. 

So I would like to create a system that finds distinctions between curves and creates different branches based on either their x/y/z value (or the general direction) using the pipeline component. However the curves are not placed directly along the same places, so the?
