Interpolate curve on surface; Double-Curved Glulam?

I am trying to create a curve on a surface, using a combination of UV points and Sub-Surface centres.

I need the curve to use the sub-surface mid-points as the curve mid-point.
is this possible? Particularly with a greater number of points (eg 5 or 7 for a more accurate curve)?

Grasshopper components I have explored, such as the 'Geodesic' component only offers a Start and End point, and the 'Curve On Surface' component only offers the UV points as curve points.
I have Also considered 'Project' component, but am wondering how to affect the projection 'Direction' for each curve, if so?

So far I have used the Interpolate Curve component, but this does not follow the Surface Geometry closely enough.

I have enclosed the GH.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I previously made this model, and am GH to simulate wood bending.

The evolution to the right shows more what I am aiming for; if there are also any tips on how to make the structure less regular, like this; eg using Repulsors or Attractors on the surface, or tips to available resources, that would be very appreciated.

Cheers
