Take two of these with plenty of fluid and you should be ok in the morning.

Love it :D

Voronoi actually has practical uses.

I remember that the warning popped up when I was devising a clever way (for me anyway) to triangulate an unconnected set of points over a mesh by using 3d voronoi cells to create a sort of pseudo 3d delaunay triangulation.

I also use it all the time for 3d natural neighbor interpolation and sometimes 2d natural neighbor interpolation when vertex interpolation (like vertex colors but with other data) is not good enough.

Or lloyds algorithm, kmeans, finding the best way to build a road/path/anything NIMBY, drawing non-torsion nodes for freeform geometries, some use them for 3d delaunay (which is then useful for FEM) and I belive there is 1000x more uses which we omit every day on this forum ;)

EDIT : BTW this shopping center is in Poland, and they actually build the facade using one voronoi module.

I was thinking of things people could do even with the standard components (no scripting, recursion).

The point is that we should write a book "Practical Voronoi for Dummies".

But is this facade the practical use?

Don't look now, but it's under construction (Poland)...

I though that its already built... and I saw some other visualizations where its repetitive...

Oh, sorry, I missed your edited note.

You can go and visit in person and buy David something nice from the Mall of Voronoi!

It's actually pretty far from where I live. I think if I've sent him something related with voronoi, I would get a lifetime ban on the forum.

I wonder where this year's ISVD will be...
