this also covers splines and curves. found in mcneels website.

Don't forget elegant T-Splines:

The tsPull command hasn't made it into Grasshopper yet though, an important one for matching meshes or NURBS surfaces and polysurfaces.

I would start by work through, Essential Mathematics For Computional Design 3rd Edition 

as Alex linked you too.

Though if your interested in understanding geometry mathematically. Then I would invest in what could possibly be called the Geometry Bible.
