algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there. I have to design a folded roof structure in GH for my office. As I am working in GH the first time I have a few questions I hope someone can answer.

I detached a picture from a model . It´s made out of 4 different Elements which are all connected in a special way. I already created the roof in GH with it´s right sizes and I was able to move the first two elements because the rotation axis was "lying on the ground". But as I wanted to connect the third element to the second it didn´t work out.

It is important, that all elements are connected and that I can rotate them around their axis (which is the connecting axis between two elements). It would be great if I could rotate them in all directions (x,y,z)!

I would be very thankful if someone could have a look on my definition in GH and could give me a hint.

I am also quite sure, that there is a smarter way to build the roof as I did...

Thanks a lot!

I'm not very acquainted with Kangaroo, but I think there is an example about this. Try here. It's the Rigid Origami example. You'll have to install Kangaroo and Weavebird though.
