algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hej guys, I am new in this forum. So, if I have not found an already provided solution to my problem, don’t judge me wrong. I hope you can help me:
I created the model you find attached to this post. What I want to do is to simulate different kinds of loads (a sphere, another square or generally any closed brep) to this structure. The material, which my structure is made of, should be flexible and always move back to its original form when there are no loads. It would be awesome, if one can also apply different flexibilities to the structure.
Imagine the whole thing is printed out of a flexible material with someone sitting on it. That is what I try to simulate. See also the pictures attached which might help to illustrate the problem!

I'd reccommend simplifying the model. I would do a collision of a spring network representing the basic wireframe of your topology. Then, doing a simple rigid body collision against that. Then, you can regenerate the meshing around that. See attached file.
This is in Kangaroo 0.99
I couldn't do it in Kangaroo 2. It would be interesting if someone did in K2.

I tried to use it with my wireframe structure, but there seem to be some issues. See files attached ...
I reviewed the files, and it looks like there are problems with the exoskeleton component. If you used another method for meshing your original geometry, I suggest you use that. If your original model was produced from a wireframe then you shouldn't have any problems. ¿How did you create that one?
it's basically out of a modified 3d voronoi component.
