Diamond Panel on non-rectalinear surface

Hello,

I have been working on an interactive facade with an attraction point. I'd like to have diamond panels, that rotate when they are closer to an attraction point. But I am having trouble.

I am using WB trying to place diamond panels on my surface, however my surface is uniquely shaped, it is not a square or rectangle. My diamond panels always creep off my surface, either in a rectangular shape or in a strange shape.

How can I ensure these diamond panels stay on my surface? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
