algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi guys,
i just want to record some of wishes
1) Dot sprite is pretty cool, but sometime it will be a cool option to hawe a custom sprite image, so my wish is to have a custom sprite component.
2) Just to remember, real dream will be to deal with movies throught image sampler....
3) really waiting for shrink/grow cluster ability

Hi Philipp,
1) I don't draw sprites any more (I used to, but now it's just oriented line segments). When (if) Steve puts sprite drawing into RhinoCommon we can have a look at this. I rather suspect I'll also need to add a bitmap data type to Grasshopper to make this work.
2) It's incredibly difficult to render video in a way that allows for sampling. I think the best I can do is give you control over which bitmap is loaded in a sampler. Then you can create a series of image frames and load them using a slider or some other variable.
3) Yup, very high priority. It's a big job though so I need a fair amount of continuous time to work on it.

David, thank for you answer.
1) hmm ok. can it be instead "custom geometry simbol" component? I mean if I can make circle or crossing or arrow or smthing else in Rhino or grass and upload it ti this component to be presented instead of common crossings. I just want to have sexy common tokens for particles for example without spending a lot on 3d geometry. A propas, maybe can we change appearence of geometry (lines thiken for example) from geometry preview component? horster camera ref is a wired and slow way for now to orient geometry
2) ok that will be nice!
3) wow looking forward for it. This will change a lot!
I'm making all short-cuts customizable now.
