algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm trying to test a methodology for assessing spatial "values" in an urban setting.

The first step involves finding out how many intersections occur along a given street.

(Ultimately, within a particular radius, the more intersections it has, the higher the "value")...that's the theory anyway!

I would like to be able to just do the first step, which is get all the intersections along a curve, and then count how many intersections each curve has.  I can't seem to figure out the next steps though.  Is this GH logic headed in the right direction?  I feel like I'm missing something very obvious.

sorry for the late reply.  this is great!  Thanks!

I won't be able to work on it until later but the ulitmate goal is for the definition to dynamically count ,and then shade, all the lines based on how many intersections it has!
