alternating steps on two Hoopsnakes

I have a mesh going into one HS component, and a series of integers corresponding to faces on that mesh in another HS. The definition works if I alternate taking individual steps with each HS component, but I need to automate it so it will go back and forth taking individual steps on each without resetting. any ideas?
