algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

is there a way to stop the kangaroo simulation when it reaches a certain form/value etc.?

e.g. im trying to planarize a curved surface; i managed to tweak the values to reach planarization but kangaroo keeps on 'stretching' and goes past it.  i then tried to get the percentage of planarized panels to give me a true/false or (0/0.1) value to feed kangaroos time step in order to stop it, but i found out that i can't loop the definition not even with hoop snake.

Any suggestions on how to control the simulation?,

Maybe I should use galapagos to achieve this..??

Thanks

D.

Edit:

I managed to planarize all the hexagons by tweaking further but the question is still valid as the geometry is very unstable..

Hi,

This seems to work.

A scripting component connected to a boolean generated from the output geometry of Kangaroo keeps remotely updating the Kangaroo component until the boolean changes to True. There is no need for a timer.
