algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Greetings,
I woud like to simulate my fabric formwork experimentation in Kangaroo. I am somewhat familiar with Grasshopper and new to Kangaroo (have gone through some tutorials, but haven't been able to accomplish this).
I'm trying to achieve something like this: cloth.jpg, with the parameter of this flexible twine grid that is partitioning the fabric and the point loads in the center of every cell: IMG_1179.jpg
Thanks!

Hi Derya,
I'm a big fan of fabric formwork. I've had a go at your problem. One condition though: look us up at the fabric formwork group on Facebook and share your work with over 300 fabric formwork enthusiasts!
Anyway, below my result shown from beneath and the definition. I used Weaverbird that you still need to install or work your way around. Other than that, it's all standard components and Kangaroo.
Basically, you make a mesh of springs for the cloth (though it's only an approximation of how a cloth would behave), mesh from lines for the twine grid. You apply gravity from the mesh for the weight of the cloth, and unary forces for the hanging point loads you apply.
It may not be the flexible setup you're looking for, but it's a start. Between the screenshot and the photo, I wasn't sure what you were going for. Also, one row in the grid behaves differently, and I couldn't spot my error. Anyhow... good luck.
Welcome to
Grasshopper
