algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I am trying to develop a number of free form curves that evolve from a single point, much like branches on a tree, in a systematic and rational manner (not random). Then generate points along all the curves that share the same x coordinates, but different y and z coordinates. Is there a function or script for this?

Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated, Thanks.

look into l systems

Thanks, I have looked a little bit into L-systems and fractals.

Something I am wondering is can you create 2 different L-systems through 3d space, extract points from both systems, and then create lines to connect those points?

Basically, connect the 2 systems by a series of points and lines...?

Thanks

Anything is possible. I would start by making the systems.
