BUILDING BYE- LAWS DEFINITION ( linking data to grasshopper3d )

i wanted to know how to connect a spread sheet to grasshopper and generate data as i wanted to make a definition between :

1) set backs  

2) height of the building.

the table is between the above mentioned things and i want both to change simultaneously 

i tried ghowl but it dint work . Please would u explain it to me with an example
