algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hoping you guys can help me out.

I've divided a curve and want to place rectangles at each division point perpendicular to the normal of each point... the rectangles respect the direction of the curve. Which button do I need?

Thanks

Hi Adam,

curve normals are planes, not vectors. You cannot place a rectangle perpendicularly to a plane. Perhaps a drawing of what you're after will clear things up.

Hi Adam: Maybe this is what you are after... I´m not sure about what you need that´s why i added this slider to the angle (you probably want to change to 0)

Thanks guys, that's exactly what I was after!

Cheers

Next question, sorry! As soon as I add a value for x and y for the rectangle it's no longer centered on the point and originates from the point instead, any ideas how to retain the point as a centroid for the rectangle?

Thanks

Hi Adam. Try this. Cheers

Does anybody know how to do the same thing with triangles?

This is as close as I've got with triangles, as you will see it doesn't work properly, I'm not sure where all those extra triangles come from? Would love to know how this could be done most efficiently!

Thanks

Adam
