algorithmic modeling for Rhino

so when making topographical models I want to pull all the layers out from under neath each other(as shown in the front view) so that I can see them all separately from a top view.  this will then put them in a row and easier to put in illustrator and cut out.

basically moving each tile more out than the last like stepping drawers. (if this helps more.)

I have written a script do something similar, but on top of laying out all the profiles, model scale & material thickness can be specified. It also colours the lines to the format specified by the laser cutter, and more importantly includes the outline of the following profile with each cut so i know where each part connects (with the scoring colour code assigned).

I attached the file so you can see which components they are.

ABAB is shortest list and CDAVd is Box properties.

If you have a file with components and you don't know where to find them, Hold Alt+Ctrl and click on the component. It will show you where to find it on the toolbars.

old school way without grasshopper: use the shear command in the front view, click a point, click straight up, and angle it over until the layers are no longer overlapping in the top view.
