algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey! I have a new question. Im getting tired from this errors. I did the parametric truss tutorial, that you might now. The result of the tutorial should look like the first image:
I have Polylines and Fillet Lines together in a Curve, then make a Planar Surface out of it. But when I exactly do that, I get this, instead of the picture above:

Why do I have this result? Why isn't the fillet cut out? Can somebody help me? I hope, that soon, I'll not have to post those beginner questions anymore, so I'm sorry, guys! Thank you!

Hi Patrick

Try right clicking on the E input of the Planar Srf component and clicking on the flatten option to merge all the incoming tree data or on the crv component for that matter...either would be fine. Then it should work as the tutorial shows. This is beacuse you have mutliple branchs/paths with different index's comming into the crv component and inturn the Planar surface.

This can be seen in your image as the input to the Planar surface is Dashed heres a little key to help understand the wires.

Single Line - Single Item in Single Branch/Path
Double Line = 2 or more items in a Single Branch/Path
Dashed Line ---- Single or mutliple items 2 or more Branches/Paths

Hope this Helps

Matt
Thank you, Matt! This helps me very well!
