Error opening Grasshopper 1.0 (0.9.0056) - Weaverbird

I just installed the latest Grasshopper (0.9.0056) and it will not load. It gets to a point where the startup dialog reads "loading remote assembly weaverbird.gh.com" and it just sticks there and freezes Rhino. I'm running Rhino 5 SR3.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

same for me,same version but freezes @ remote assembly RhinoNest.

I dont'think it's the component to cause the crash because before it was freezing @ User custom component and just changed component once I got rid of that one. Please help! Its driving me CrazzzzYyY :)

Me too, complete crash upon loading weaverbird.gh.commonsdk...

We resolved this issue yesterday after several loads/unloads and found that purging all xml files EXCEPT grasshopper_kernel.xml in the AppData/Roaming/Grasshopper folder resolves this issue. However today I had the problem reoccur as grasshopper had recreated these files.

Surely there is a better solution than purging these files before launch????
