Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I make a lot of package dielines and I was wondering if Grasshopper would be a good tool to create a parametric version. Ideally I'd like to be able to input the height width and depth and have it out put a dieline based on those dimensions. I have almost no experience with grasshopper so I'd like to know if this kind of thing is even possible before I sink too much time into it.

Any help is much appreciated.

It's definitely possible.

Thanks for that definition. Any tips on getting the folding tabs and glue tabs? I was thinking I could have them drawn already in rhino and then moved into position by grasshopper. Is that even possible?

Yes that's a way to do it.  If I get the time I'll play around with it a little bit more.

I tried that way with some success I can't quite figure out how to filter the list to get a single surface. I attached the files I've been working with.

Okay I tired a different approach. It's a bit of a mess. If anyone has any suggestions they would certainly be appreciated.
