algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is it possible to have the wbThicken component extrude in both directions as the rhino.extrude command does. Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan

are you asking about this in general or you have a specific case in mind?

I am asking this because there are several recipes, especially when the mesh is non-2 manifold.

Giulio,

One of the problems I am regularly running into is when I try to use the thicken component to create 'mullions' out of a center line surface I need to thicken in separate directions creating two meshes.

My current specific issue is creating an enclosed mesh volume for a boolean command. I have a gutter like condition with angled walls as shown below. I want to use the thicken component to create a mesh that would trim the panels shown out of the 'gutter' zone. However because I can only thicken in one direction I need to offset my surface creating a misalignment of my 'gutter' and boolean mesh.

Thanks for the help, Dan
