algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys

Im trying to join two surfases into one solid. But GH seems to have a problem with joining my surfaces.

One surface is curved and the other one is planar/straight

It shouldn't be that hard, why doesn't it work?

The surfaces don't seem to be touching. Joining only works if the input already shares an edge.

oh... is there an other way of creating a solid out of the surfaces in GH. using cap, join or some other comand? I have seen it been done before, I just dont remember how

Find the outlines of both the curved and flat surface and put both into a loft. Then BRep join all three surfaces.

If you don't already have the outlines, you can get them with BRepWireframe.

In fact in Rhino 6 there's no need to find outlines. Just loft those two surfaces, putting them into curve slot in loft component. Than join three elements: two surfaces and the effect of lofting (which connects them) into one brep.
