simple sweep1 not working

That solves my current problem, however I am curious concerning the sweep1 problem, any clue about the reason?

Sorry! I do not know about this in Grasshpper, but it is made possible by Rhino

You can successfully do a sweep1 on a closed rail curve if you put a small break in it.  The two end curves of the sweep have the same direction when viewed from the outside (in this case clockwise) but when viewed along the direction of travel around the rail they end up opposing each other when they meet.  This may be why the sweep fails but I'm not sure.
