algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi there I am trying to create a interpolated curve that goes through z values derived from an attractor definition along a curve the problem is the definition at the moment only creates sharp peaks and I would like to create a smoother curve similar to interpolating a curve through points or like a sine wave.
I have divided a curve then select a number of points along that curve to be the attractors this then allows me to determine where the peaks and valleys are.
I'm sure the answer is probably as simple as adding an expression to my distance output values to create the smooth result but I cannot work out the expression as my math skills are a bit rusty.
I have attached images to show more clearly what I am trying to achieve and no doubt this has been asked before but after hours of searching I could not find the answer.
many thanks in advance if anyone can give me some advice

you should use the graph mapper and the remap component to get a gradually changed result. You can set sinus like curves ore even choose a custom easing for your values.
thanks for the quick reply and suggestion I tried using the graph mapper and remapping the values to 0mm to 1500 mm in height but it just doesn't seem to offer a lot of detailed control surely there is a simple expression that can be applied to smooth the curve.
I may have set this up incorrectly however what I did was plug my distance values directly into the graph mapper then the values from it are then plugged into the remap component to give me my heights is this correct ?
