Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys.

I ve been playing around with a truncated tetrahedron, i was able to model it in rhino then using gh, i wanted to generate a kind of growth system.

Im attaching a definition and a rhino file, the problem is that i think the same thing can be achived with less components.

my guess, is to use a duplicate data component, to control how many truncated tetrahedrons i want, also a ramdom component would be usefull to pick certain truncated tetrahedron faces....but im not getting there.

im attaching an image as well of Aranda Lasch's work.....this is basically what im looking for

thanks for your help.

ps.gh 06.59....

Hi Mario,

I could enable some of my tesselation routines into Grasshopper (timeframe is hard to estimate), although I would suggest paitience and a powerful computer would be recommended in utilizing them there. Although I haven't written the routines yet with any random direction generation, you can generate polygons that either reside in a closed polysurface or only those that intersect it.

hi jon.
thanks for your reply!
yes i've been using your wonderfull tool.
but for this paticular project i seeking for another kind of direction.
i am looking foward for your random direction generation.
thanks
