algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have some curves. One happens to be planar in the XZ-plane. I am trying to offset it in the XY-plane, but no matter what I put into the plane-input, the resulting curves are offset in the XZ-plane.

When I do the same thing with a non-planar curve everything turns out right (it is offset in the XY-plane).

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I could of course copy the non-planar curve, but then I'd have to make different processing depending on whether the curves are planar or not...

Sounds like a bug. Can you post the curve?

The curve is actually not planar in the XZ plane, but in a plane similar to the XZ...
